Humble Cuisine

            about this blog!

              i enjoy cooking.

it's as simple as that.         (sometimes i'll even bake,

          if i have the patience.)

i am definitely a fan of things

       like butter and bacon, but

i also believe it is absolutely    possible to cook incredible meals

           that are also healthy

         and low-fat/low calorie.

       i especially love discovering

        new recipes, techniques,

     and cooking/kitchen products,

and now i can share them with you,

as well as my personal endeavors!

Short Ribs With Dried Apricots
i love making a simple, hearty, slow cooker meal on winter weekends, so i like to spend a slow friday at work searching for recipes. i think we have a winner!
the best part of this recipe is that it sounds like there are so many possibilities for it’s leftovers the rest of the week. the recipe above suggests making a taco that sounds as good as the original meal! then, out of curiousity, i browsed a few other blogs for their serving/leftover suggestions. people have raved about serving it on or with polenta, grits, mashed potatos, baked potatos, brussells sprouts, carrots, & other root vegetables. so excited!
