Humble Cuisine

            about this blog!

              i enjoy cooking.

it's as simple as that.         (sometimes i'll even bake,

          if i have the patience.)

i am definitely a fan of things

       like butter and bacon, but

i also believe it is absolutely    possible to cook incredible meals

           that are also healthy

         and low-fat/low calorie.

       i especially love discovering

        new recipes, techniques,

     and cooking/kitchen products,

and now i can share them with you,

as well as my personal endeavors!

5 Simple Recipes to Break a Cooking Funk (A Response to XKCD)

Ingredients can be expensive. The cost of stocking a pantry might make the notion of getting Papa John to deliver your supper that much more appealing (that is to say, maybe the tiny, slightest bit appealing). Especially now that it’s February, when everything seems harder. But in the long run, cooking at home is more economical, more healthy, and learning how to do it well doesn’t have to suck.
If the food you make tastes so good you won’t want a day to pass without tasting it again, then perpetual leftovers will no longer be an issue.
You need some can’t-miss recipes using ingredients you won’t have to trash in order to break a cooking slump.
So that’s where we come in.
